Second Chances
Wesley Heiser
We are in the habit of hiring people transitioning out of prison. Their past crimes run the gamut. We are neither a judge nor jury and feel that to help society in ways that we can, we help these individuals find self worth and a purpose. This hopefully is enough to help them transition back into a healthy, normal life and feel as if they have paid their debts to society and not reoffend. Some of our best employees come from work centers and halfway houses and we are thankful to have them. We would encourage other local businesses to consider this as well as we cannot hire them all. But the ones we do can make some great tacos! That is all.
Local press saw the above Facebook posts and did a couple stories on the subject. We weren't looking for publicity, but we will take it. We also hope it helps more people in a similar situation.
